Amorgos is surrounded by crystal clear blue and turquoise sea with a lot of nice beaches. The waters of Amorgos gave the name to the movie “The big blue”.

Aegiali beach
Aegiali beach - Amorgos Cyclades Greece   A long sandy beach in the middle of Aegiali bay on the north part of Amorgos island. The beach has shade under the trees and shallow water suited for small children.
Along the beach walk there are tavernas, bars and cafes and a few minutes walk takes you to the village centre where you will find supermarkets and other facilities.
     
Levrossos beach
Levrossos beach - Amorgos Cyclades Greece   Sandy beach just 20 minutes walk from Aegiali on the north part of Amorgos. It is also possible to go by the small transfer boat from Aegiali port every 20 minutes during high season or by car, the parking is 200 m from the beach. The beach is one of the nicest in the area and have a taverna just by the beach. You can also walk further on to 2 smaller beaches Psiliamos or Xoklakas, no facilities.
     
Agios Pavlos beach
Agios Pavlos beach - Amorgos Cyclades Greece   Pebble beach in the north part of the island 5 km from Aegiali bay. The water is calm and clear and it’s a good fishing spot. You can also take one of the small transfer boats that leaves every hour to Nikouria island with its 3 sandy beaches.
You can go there by car and there is a restaurant very close to the beach.
     
Nikouria beach
Nikouria beach Agios Pavlos - Amorgos Cyclades Greece   Nikouria is a small uninhabited island just outside Agios Pavlos, 5 km from Aegiali bay. The island has 3 sandy beaches which you reach with small transfer boat every hour from Agios Pavlos, the trip takes 10 minutes. The sea at Nikouria is very clear, which makes it ideal for snorkelling and it’s also good fishing waters. During the high season there is a little cafe and it’s advisable to bring an umbrella for the shade.
     
Tripiti beach
Tripiti beach - Amorgos Cyclades Greece   A nice pebbly beach with clear waters about 2 km outside the bay of Aegiali. There is no sign so you need to go or drive slowly pass to find it.
Take with you drinks and food because it has no facilities nearby.

     
Agia Anna beach
Agia Anna beach - The big blue movie Luc Besson - Amorgos Cyclades Greece   The pebbly beach is just down from the monastery of Hozoviotissa outside Chora. You can go there by car or walk about 30-40 minutes down from the monastery. Agia Anna offers you deep blue and crystal clear water. This is the famous beach of Amorgos where scenes of the movie "Big Blue" have been filmed.
You need to take drinks and food with you as there is no facilities nearby.
     
Mouros beach
Mouros beach - Amorgos Cyclades Greece   Mourou is an amazing pebble beach beyond everyone’s expectations, situated near the villages of Vroutsi. The waters are crystal clear and you can discover the underwater caves in the far end of the beach by swimming.
On top of the mountain beside the parking is a taverna and cafe/bar with fantastic view over the archipelagos.
     
Maltezi beach
Maltezi beach - Amorgos Cyclades Greece   The sandy beach is situated northwest of Katapola from where you can reach it with small transfer boat or you can walk there in about 30 minutes. The sea here is bluish green and the sand is fine.
Take with you drinks and food because there are no facilities here and an umbrella for shade is advisable.
     
Kato Kambos beach
Kato Kambos beach - Amorgos Cyclades Greece   Kato Kambos beach is near the settlement of Kolofana and is pretty scenic gulf with fine sand and numerous rocks strewn across the sandy expanse. There is also a little nice chapel you can visit which is built right on the edge of the seashore. Facilities for tourists are rare so it is advisable to bring ones own food and drinks.
     
Ammoudi beach
Ammoudi beach - Amorgos Cyclades Greece   A small and lovely sandy beach near the village of Arkesini. It has white sand and deep blue waters.

Paradisia beach
Paradisia beach - Amorgos Cyclades Greece   Paradisia beach is 10 kilometres from Chora and can be reached by car. It is a beautiful small sandy beach with some pebbles and crystal clear waters.
Basic tourist amenities are practically absent here and it is advisable to carry ones own necessities.
     
Kalokaritissa beach
Kalokaritissa beach - Amorgos Cyclades Greece   Kalotaritissa beach is a fairly long beach located in the southern portion of Amorgos Island and you reach it by car. It’s a charming little bay with sandy beach and a numerous of fishing boats are anchored here.
There is one small beach cafe on the far end of the beach.
